Reason for exile of Burman minority race Karen people

Burman governmental troops dispatched to suppress Karen people's anti-government troops treat Karen public people cruelly. Some Karen people leave their home to escape from Burman troops' oppression. However, they aren't admitted as refugees in Thailand and may be arrested and sent back to Burma compulsively at any moment. They say the life in Thailand is much better than that in Burma. The following is the example of oppression they experienced.

1. Burman troops attack Karen villages.

Burman troops set fire to Karen villages and lay landmines around the villages. Some Karen people who go out of the village often step on landmines and lose their legs and sometimes lives. (The photo below is an artificial leg factory in Maesot, Thailand.)

2. Burman troops make Karen men work as porters.

Some of the Karen men work as porters. If they can't work anymore due to injuries, they are left unattended and sometimes killed.

3. Burman troops make Karen women work as military prostitutes.

Karen women work as porters during the daytime and as military prostitutes during the nighttime.

4. Children can't go to school and are treated cruelly.

About 70% of Karen children haven't finished elementary schools. Furthermore, boys are made to work as porters and girls are made to work as prostitutes and sometimes sold to Thailand.

We introduce the situation of Burman minority races and improve the situation.
